WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE 4 BYC TEAMS LEAGUE DIVISIONS?

Our divisions are based on age and skill level to help facilitate development in our players while allowing competitive play. The Beginner division is reserved for 3rd through 5th graders who have some volleyball experience The Intermediate division is for 5th through 7th graders who have experience in the sport and have participated in intramural or clinic programs. The Advanced division is for 6th through 8th graders who have several years of experience in the sport and have participated in intramural and/or travel programs. The High School division is for players in 9th-12th grade and select 7th & 8th players who have been invited to join based on skill level. All players who attend an Evaluation Session will be placed on a team in one of the 4 divisions. Placement will be determined by BYC Volleyball Coaches and special requests for placement will not be considered this season. Players can only play in ONE division and players cannot be referees.

WILL GAMES HAVE REFEREES?

Yes! BYC TEAMS League games and High School League games will have refs. Anyone age 15+ with prior volleyball experience can apply to be a BYC Volleyball ref. WILL GAMES HAVE LINE JUDGES?

ARE THE GAME RULES AT BYC DIFFERENT THAN SCHOOL OR CLUB BALL?
