BYC CLEARANCES & TRAINING
The following coaching requirements must be completed by both head and assistant coaches prior to the start of the season. Results & completion certificates should be emailed to Ray Hunter at RHunter@smsm.com.
BYC NATIONAL BACKGROUND CHECK
Required prior to the start of EVERY sport season (no carryover).
This clearance is done FREE of charge for any BYC volunteer.
PA CRIMINAL REFERENCE CHECK - SP4-164
Required every 36 months
Result will be emailed back to the volunteer and can be printed out or saved.  Volunteer will be responsible for any fees associated with obtaining this clearance.
PA CHILD ABUSE HISTORY CLEARANCE – CY113
Required every 36 months
Result will be emailed back to the volunteer and can be printed out or saved.  Volunteer will be responsible for any fees associated with obtaining this clearance.
FBI CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK
Required if the volunteer has not lived in PA for 10 continuous years, required every 36 months
Result will be emailed back to the volunteer and can be printed out or saved. Volunteer will be required to pay the fee for this clearance. Service Code: 1KG756
CONCUSSION PREVENTION EDUCATION
On-line learning module completed annually
BYC will track this information from a completion certificate of the on-line learning module.
